Isla Fisher Shares Bittersweet Birthday Message Following Her Dad's Death

The actress turned 47 shortly after losing her father.
The Confessions of a Shopaholic actress turned 47 years old today, Feb. 3, but unfortunately, it's not a complete day of celebration.
Fisher lost her father just last month, making it a bittersweet birthday this year. "It’s hard to have my birthday when my dad just died but I want to thank you ALL," she wrote alongside a new photo shared on Instagram. "I see all of your messages and feel the ❤️ and support. THANK YOU."
The new snap, posted earlier today, shows Fisher sitting at a table next to a friend, who looks as though she may be in the middle of singing "Happy Birthday." A giant square slab of cake sat in front of the pair with a small handful of candles lit in the center. Fisher smiled as she looked down at it, clapping her hands.
Her friends were quick to show support in the comments.
"Happy Birthday beautiful friend I am sending all the love and healing to you ❤️🙏🏻," said Rachel Zoe.
"Happy birthday Isla. Sending lots of love ❤️❤️❤️," wrote director Murray Cummings.
David Arquette and Liberty Ross both sent their love, as well as a flood of fans, many of whom also offered sympathetic tales.
One shared, "I feel your pain, I buried my dad a day before my birthday. It’s never the same but it does get easier over time."
"I’m so sorry for your loss, wishing you a happy birthday and prayers," said another.
