Isabel Marant Is Ready to Party for Fall 2023

A fun, playful collection that you want to be seen in.

Turtlenecked mini dresses. Low-slung denim. Sparkly tinsel knits. See-through beading. Necklines intentionally askew. Layers that can be thrown on or peeled off throughout the night, depending on the venue or vibe.

Isabel Marant's Fall 2023 collection — shown in Paris on Thursday night, to the tune of a live performance complete with a standing crowd singing along — is ready to go out, to have fun, to be seen. These are wearable clothes, the kind the designer has built into a big business, but the magic's in the details, whether it's a collar zipped up the side, a high-low hem that dances over the rim of thigh-high leather boots, or all-over silver sequins that make you want to move. They're for people who want to be perceived.

Isabel Marant's version of a "going-out wardrobe" puts the focus on separates, pieces that can stand on their own or be fully styled head-to-toe. Even her knits are made to stand out, with thick woven patterns allowing skin or an underlayer to peek out from underneath to create contrast on a sweater, or formfitting cuts adding an allure to dresses. Nothing says party quite like a trio of tinsel knits, which catch the light beautifully.

Marant is consistent with her vision for her namesake brand, and is attuned to what her customer wants. And, clearly, they just want to have some fun.
