Irina Shayk has yet to meet an outfit that can’t be improved with thigh-high leather boots. Wearing a frilly pink dress? Pair it with boots for proof that the mismatched shoe theory is alive and well. Hitting the tennis courts in a yellow two-piece set? Add some thigh-highs, and she’s suddenly serving in more ways than one. But while many of the model’s boot-centered ‘fits tend to make us do a double take, her latest ensemble was more cohesive and featured head-to-toe leather, giving major Matrix energy.

On Tuesday, Shayk was spotted out and about in New York City in the edgy OOTD, which included an ankle-skimming black leather trench coat and (you guessed it) matching thigh-high heeled leather boots. The A-lister appeared to skip pants when crafting her all-black look, instead pairing her sky-high shoes with super-short hot pants and a slouchy black crewneck sweatshirt. Black sunglasses, a coordinating leather handbag, and even a black phone case rounded out Irina’s look, and she wore her brunette hair down in soft waves with a middle part.

While the supermodel was later spotted wearing the outfit near the apartment of her former alleged flame, Tom Brady, her outing comes just a day after she addressed any speculation surrounding her dating life in a new interview with Elle.

“Nobody wants to write something that is truthful,” she told the publication for its latest cover story. “Sometimes I want to be like, ‘Fuck you. It’s absolutely not true.’ … Half of the people who they say I’m dating, I’ve never even met them in my life! These people who are literally evil or have nothing to do, sitting there and writing some bullshit and getting away with it. They should go to prison for that. There should be some kind of punishment.”

She continued, “I share my work stuff because I decided to keep my personal life personal. That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something that belongs to me. If one day I feel like I want to share it, I will.”
