Irina Shayk is shedding some light on her split from Bradley Cooper. The infamously private couple broke up in June 2019 after four years together. Diehard Cooper-Gaga shippers would like to think costarring with Lady Gaga in A Star is Born played a role in the end of his relationship with supermodel Irina Shayk. However, Gaga herself has said that her apparent intimacy with Cooper was “orchestrated as a performance” to promote the movie. Now, Shayk is giving us a glimpse into her life post-breakup and single motherhood.
In her cover story interview for the March issue of British Vogue, which hits newsstands on January 31st, Shayk divulged some details about her split from Cooper.
Shayk also described her typical behavior when ending relationships, which involves severing all ties immediately.
Going cold turkey on communication with Cooper might prove to be difficult, considering that the couple has a 3-year-old daughter together, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper. However, there seems to be no bad blood between the co-parents, as Shayk candidly explains that no matter how great two people are, they might not be great together.
Looking back on her four-year relationship with the actor, Shayk told British Vogue that she’s grateful for their time together, and that the breakup has caused some personal struggles.
Shayk’s vulnerability is refreshing in a world where we might assume supermodels have it all together, even when they’re reeling from a breakup and learning to be a single mother. If this preview tells us anything, it’s that Shayk’s full interview with British Vogue will be raw and revealing—we’re excited to read it on January 31st and find out.
