Ireland Baldwin is recovering after being brutally mugged on Friday, August 21. In an Instagram post, she shared two photos of her bruised face and explained what happened after she came face-to-face with a woman who stole her belongings.
"I was attacked by a woman who was high out of her mind on drugs and desperate for cash," Ireland wrote. "She decked me in my face in a parking lot and took my belongings and jumped in a getaway car while her husband took off."

Thankfully, she received help from people who witnessed the robbery and law enforcement arrived promptly. "Luckily I had witnesses and got assisted really quickly. The cops told me this is happening frequently because people are desperate for money right now due to Coronavirus and people being out of work," she revealed. "There is a lot of theft and muggings going down."
Sadly, many people are resorting to crime during the pandemic. It's terrifying that Ireland experienced this while in a parking lot in the afternoon. She continued to explain that she posted the photos and shared her experience in an effort to bring awareness to this dangerous issue. "Posting this to remind everyone to be really careful and watch your surroundings," she added. "These are really difficult times and we need to look out for one another.
She's since received multiple comments from people expressing how sorry they are and that they're sending their love. We're glad that Ireland is okay and are wishing her a speedy recovery.
