The 25th anniversary of Princess Diana's tragic death is approaching, and a new series on Discovery+ will revisit the investigation into the car accident that claimed the lives of Diana, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed, and driver Henri Paul.

"I think most people can vividly remember where they were when they heard the news of Princess Diana's shocking death. This was a tragedy that devastated the globe and that's the reason decades later we are all still so invested in understanding how and why this happened," Jason Sarlanis, Discovery+'s President of Crime and Investigative Content, Linear and Streaming, told Town and Country.

"We wanted to revisit this moment in time to provide new insight as we approach the 25th anniversary," he continued. "Over the course of four parts, The Diana Investigations will give you exclusive revelations from those on the ground—investigating the accident, covering the aftermath and looking into the alleged conspiracies. Their accounts offer a new perspective on exactly what happened and why it changed the world."

The series will feature interviews with French and British lead investigators, and will dive into the media coverage surrounding Diana and Dodi and the conspiracy theories that quickly arose following their death. The Diana Investigations, Discovery+ shared, "offers a new look into the tragedy that has shocked the world for decades," and the show promises to "provide new insight and reveal never-before-heard details" about the investigation of her death.

The Diana Investigations will be available to stream starting August 18 on Discovery+. Watch the trailer, above.
