It’s that time of year where we all start to (reluctantly) trade our linen shirts and jorts for something more relaxed—and decidedly more cozy. Enter Savage X Fenty, Rihanna’s wildly successful intimates label that has taken the lingerie market by storm with its vast size and gender inclusivity. The brand’s latest launch expands into the world of lounge; whether you’re a permanent couch potato or prefer something more casual when stomping the streets this fall, Rih’s got you covered, from cuffed joggers and cropped hoodies to perfect baby tees and boy shorts in a rainbow of colors that are sure to slip right into your WFH outfit rotation.
To embark on this new category, Savage X Fenty added two buzzy starlets to its roster: Gossip Girl star Jordan Alexander and singer and actress Dove Cameron. On how she feels about joining the Savage X Fenty team, Alexander tells ELLE.com, “Sexy is exactly who you are, as you are,” then continues, “seeing how fearlessly Rihanna pursues the celebration of individuality with Savage X Fenty gives me so much courage and inspiration to accept every part of myself and my life. There is no blueprint for my body or my life; I get to make that for myself, I don’t need to be like anyone else.” Alexander’s signature buzz cut pairs perfectly with the laid-back looks of the collection, and I, for one, can’t wait to see how else she rocks the Savage X Fenty universe.
For her part, Cameron recently made waves with her new single “Boyfriend,” and she’s equally stoked to enter the elite group of girls who can now be considered Rihanna’s muses. “It’s been such an honor working with an iconic brand that focuses on celebrating inclusivity and individuality,” she says. “This new collection is so lush and so fresh, perfect for the everyday elevation I need to be the best version of myself.” Relatable!
Rihanna herself dropped a few words of wisdom about the upcoming collection as well. “At the core, Savage X Fenty is about feeling sexy and confident,” she starts. “The Lounge collection is giving all of that with a chill, laidback twist. I wanted to bring comfort and realness to everyday pieces that can be styled in whatever way that lets you do you.”
So, take a cue from the queen and allow these pieces to take you from the sidewalk to the couch and back again all fall and winter long, and be damn comfortable doing it. With YOUniversal styles and sizes from XXS-4X across a variety of colors, the Savage X Fenty Lounge collection is available for purchase starting Sept. 8 exclusively at savagex.com and select retail stores. Prices range from $24.95-$74.95.
