From LVL Weddings & Events... Jenny was a long time assistant at LVL Weddings & Events so we were so thrilled at the opportunity to be there to bring her dream wedding to life at one of our favorite places on earth - Olowalu Plantation House on Maui.
From the Bride... We knew that we wanted our celebration to be intimate and longer than one day. We both love vacationing in Hawaii and knew it would be a popular destination for the rest of our guests.
Olowalu Plantation House was recommended by Lindsay and when we saw it online we instantly knew it was special. The venue had everything we were looking for.. Intimate, by the ocean, and not your typical hotel ballroom. I knew the style that I wanted was romantic and timeless with a Maui background.
Our wedding date was the most important factor in choosing a wedding venue. My Dad passed away two years ago from Dementia and I was super close to him. His birthday is on 7/7 and luckily it landed on a Saturday in 2018.
When he passed away Brian and I knew we wanted to honor him by getting married on his birthday. Funny enough Olowalu was booked on 7/7 but the couple ended up backing out and when the date opened up we knew it was meant to be!
We both can agree that hands down our favorite memory was the ceremony and reading out loud our own vows. It was so emotional for the both of us. Brian is not one to wear his emotions on his sleeve but he let it all out for the ceremony and it was something I'll never forget.
