The Internet Has a Really Good Theory About Meghan Markle's Exact Due Date

The royal baby’s arrival may be closer than we think. Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla just dropped a major hint about Meghan Markle’s due date, and it's so soon.

Clarence House announced on Monday, April 15, that Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla will be embarking on a trip to Germany from May 7 to May 10—a date that's just three weeks away.

As People pointed out, however, Prince Charles—who walked Markle down the aisle at her wedding to Prince Harry in May—and Camilla are unlikely to miss the birth of their newest grandchild.

If that's the case, it's safe to assume the Duchess of Sussex will be giving birth ahead of their departure next month.

The timeline also matches up with reports that Markle previously told a woman at an appearance her son or daughter would be born in April. “For those who want to know about these things: Meghan told one lady in the crowd that she is six months pregnant and another woman that her due date is around April 👶,” ITV News royal editor Chris Ship tweeted on January 14.

If this isn't enough proof, there’s also another hint courtesy of Markle's longtime friend and wedding makeup artist, Daniel Martin.

The Daily Mail reports Martin recently revealed he’ll be making his way back to the states by May 5. (He's currently in England and was the first guest at the couple's new Windsor home.)

“I’m very excited to share that I’ll be making my first ever main stage appearance @themakeupshow on Sunday, May 5th from 10am-11:30am,” Martin posted to Instagram on Saturday, April 12.

Because Martin and Markle are so close, he probably won't miss her birth, either, which puts Baby Sussex's arrival before May 5.

Unfortunately, it may be a while before we get to see the newest royal addition. Kensington Palace announced last week that Markle and Prince Harry have made “a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private,” adding, "The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

Either way, we're counting down the days.
