The Internet Reacts to the Birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William's Third Child

Meet Prince Baby McBabyface.

On Monday, Kensington Palace announced via the official royal Twitter page that Kate Middleton and Prince William had welcomed their third child, a boy, that morning. "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well," the announcement read. Never one to hold back, people on social media soon chimed in with their own opinions on the matter, as well as a multitude of predictions about the new prince's name, relationship with his older brother and sister, and future partner. Little Prince Kanye (or Prince Paddington, or Prince Baby McBabyface) definitely has a lot to live up to.

Though many social media users offered their congratulations to the royal family, others were more focused on what the royal baby's arrival meant for the family. For one thing, Monday is St. George's Day, the feast day of the patron saint of England, so some Twitter users worried that Prince George's little brother would steal some of his attention. And although the baby's uncle Prince Harry will now move down a spot in the line of succession, his little sister, Princess Charlotte, is making history as the first female royal not to have her spot in the line of succession usurped by a younger brother.

Of course, many other Twitter users spent some time speculating about everything from the royal baby's name—Paddington Bear makes an excellent point—to which of Kris Jenner's grandchildren he'll inevitably marry.

And some people were just fascinated by the elaborately dressed town crier who rang a bell and read the announcement of the royal baby's birth from a literal scroll outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital.
