The Internet Is in Love With Dakota Johnson's Enormous Emerald Ring
It's on that finger.
When People published photos of Dakota Johnson showing off an emerald ring on that finger, speculation about a possible engagement started swirling right away. According to E!, Johnson was out in West Hollywood when the ring made its debut, but the fact that she wasn't making any effort to hide it had Twitter users admiring the new hardware and talking about the possibility of an upcoming engagement.
People adds that neither Johnson nor her beau Chris Martin has commented on the possibility of an engagement. The two have been dating since 2017, though they've managed to keep their relationship under wraps for nearly the entire time, having only been seen together a few times in the Hamptons and Los Angeles.

Another person who'd be elated to see the two make things official? Martin's ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, who hasn't kept her feelings for Johnson a secret.
"I love her," she told Harper's Bazaar. "I can see how it would seem weird because it's sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her. I always start to think of the ampersand sign — what else can you bring in, instead of being resistant to or being made insecure by? There's so much juice in leaning into something like that."
