The internet is freaking out over this 7-year-old Rihanna lookalike

Rihanna had the internet doing a double take when she posted a photo of her mini-me to Instagram on Tuesday. But it turns out that she didn’t discover another FaceApp to create the photo of her little lookalike. Instead, she credited an Instagram account belonging to the mom of the girl pictured — and now the internet can’t seem to get over her.

Bria from Virginia tells Yahoo Lifestyle that her 7-year-old daughter, Ala’a, has always had an interest in being in front of the camera. However, after doing only a couple of photo shoots, she never expected her little girl to already be getting this kind of recognition.

“I tried to get her into cheer and sports, and she was like, ‘No, I don’t want to do that. I want to model,’” Bria, who declined to provide her last name, explains. “I said, ‘Well alright, let’s do it.’”

The mother and nail technician went on to say that she never even recognized Ala’a’s resemblance to the Fenty mogul until other people pointed it out. But things quickly escalated when she decided to share this particular selfie to a Rihanna fan account.

“Once I shared it with them, they kept tagging Rihanna. I didn’t think much of it,” Bria says. “As soon as I went to work, I was there for not even an hour and a half, and people were like, ‘Bria, Rihanna shared your daughter’s picture.’”

The photo, which was captioned “almost drop my phone. how?” left Bria in shock and led to a spike in followers on her account after more than 6 million people liked the photo on Rihanna’s page.

“I didn't think this was real. But it's real,” one person commented. Another wrote, “You’re so beautiful that the universe had to make copies of you.”

The real excitement, however, came when Tyra Banks also shared it, saying that she needed to identify the girl.

“That’s when I cried,” Bria says. “All of these people were sharing her, and I didn’t know what to say.”

Bria messaged Banks to try to bring attention to Ala’a’s own Instagram account, which already has 26,000 followers. And although the supermodel has yet to respond, Bria is confident that this moment of viral fame will open doors for her daughter.

“She’s so beautiful and she doesn’t know it,” Bria says.
