The internet is grossed out by Taylor Swift's answer to "Do you wash your legs in the shower?"
Taylor Swift inadvertently inspired a major internet debate on Wednesday, May 15th, when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and shared a detail about her personal hygiene habits. Specifically, during a Q&A game, DeGeneres asked, “Do you wash your legs in the shower?” And Swift’s response was polarizing, to say the least.

DeGeneres agreed with the “Me!” singer, stating that women who shave are, in fact, washing their legs because of the shaving cream. And shaving cream is a form of soap—right?
Even though Swift stated that she must be “on the right side of history” due to the fact she washes while she shaves, many on the internet disagree. According to these Twitter users, shaving and washing are not the same, Tay.

some people are apparently disgusting and just let the water and soap runoff from the top half of their body "wash" their legs, aka they nasty

However, Swift isn’t the only one using the shaving cream rationale.

You’re suppose to wash your legs¿?
— mykchicken 🤠 (@glambymykaila) May 16, 2019
I don't. The soap runs down from the rest of my body.
My skin is dry enough without stripping it further.
