The internet was in a tizzy over the weekend after someone polled Twitter users asking their opinion on who was the more attractive actor during their younger years: Al Pacino or Robert De Niro.

Writer Ashley Reese posed the original question on Saturday, "At a wedding and having a big debate rn. Please vote. Who was hotter?" giving users the option between Pacino, now 83, or De Niro, 79.

By the time the poll closed, 277,372 people voted. The results were pretty evenly split, with the social media platform declaring it a 50-50 tie.

At one point, though, a few votes had De Niro leading, to which Reese responded by sharing some photos of Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon (1975), writing, "HAVE YOU PPL NOT SEEN DOG DAY AFTERNOON???"

Ironically enough, the clock counted down and the final votes trickled in as this week's episode of Succession aired, which happened to feature a chaotic election storyline.

Well, viewers really got into the spirit of the whole thing which led to some hilarious crossover jokes.

One De Niro fan tweeted, "THERE WAS A FIRE IN MILWAUKEE THAT DESTROYED THOUSANDS OF DE NIRO VOTES!!!!!!!!!!! WE MUST ADDRESS THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" while another added in the replies, "ATN JUST PREDICTED THAT DE NIRO HAS ENOUGH VOTES TO WIN!!!!!!!"

Someone else declared, "IF UR IN LINE TO VOTE FOR ROBERT DE NIRO STAY IN LINE."

From the other side of the debate, one tweeted, "GET THE ABSENTEE BALLOTS FROM MILWAUKEE PACINO STILL GOT THIS."

When De Niro got the upper hand at the end, a different Pacino supporter said, "WE DEMAND A RUNOFF!! #alpacinonation."

Another engrossed voter tweeted as if it was a real election night: "with less than 2 hours to go till polls close this race is still too close to call. Pacino was the obvious forerunner, but in a shock to all, De Niro stans have come out to vote in overwhelming numbers. we haven’t seen this kind of disconnect in poll in decades."

To some, the ending was almost cinematic, with one fan writing, "50/50…the deserved ending."

Reese later added, "This 50/50 tie is incredible. You’re really a yung Pacino or a yung di Nero," before admitting that De Niro had some handsome moments.

But, without a definitive winner really coming out in the lead, this debate may continue for a while.
