The internet is clapping back so hard against this sexist Hurricane Harvey tweet
Hurricane Harvey has caused historic levels of rainfall in the Houston area, leaving unimaginable destruction and loss in its wake. But that didn’t stop one Twitter user from sharing an incredibly sexist Hurricane Harvey tweet…that has thankfully inspired a slew of clap backs and memes across the internet.
Blogger Matt Walsh shared a photo of a man carrying a woman and her baby safely out of flood waters, adding the following caption:
“Woman cradles and protects child. Man carries and protects both. This is how it ought to be, despite what your gender studies professor says.”

Ugh.
Thankfully, the internet came for Walsh, and they came hard. And we’re giving all the responders a very loud, very proud virtual standing ovation.
Just take a gander:

Of course, though there were plenty of LOL responses to the tweet, many were quick to call Walsh out for the ridiculous sexism of his remark, pointing out his response as being outdated at best and utterly misogynistic at worst.
I couldn't care less what side of the aisle you're on. Don't turn this tragedy into some political/gender ploy. It's called human decency.
