With the much-requested Selena M.A.C. collection flying off shelves and being hawked on eBay for crazy prices, the Internet has spoken once again, and it wants a Missy Elliot M.A.C. collection. It all started last Friday when a Twitter user I follow, Janeshia Henry, a.k.a. @thefathippy_, posted a tweet saying, "GIVE. MISSY. ELLIOTT. A . MAC. COLLECTION." Then I noticed that simple demand got more than16,000 retweets and 23,900 likes. Henry included some pretty convincing photos of Elliot to support her claim. The fan tells Allure that she was inspired to tweet after searching for Missy Elliott-inspired makeup tutorials on YouTube. She was surprised to find that there were almost none featuring the entertainer's older and most iconic looks like the ones she posted in her tweet. "That baffled me because, in my eyes, she is a legend," Henry says. "She broke into the rap industry on talent and creativity, and she was never stifled despite being a darker, bigger woman."

As forever fans of Elliott, we couldn't agree more with Henry and her numerous Internet supporters. Missy Elliott has always rocked the best, most daring beauty looks throughout her career, from her dark lips in the "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)" music video (while wearing a trash bag-like outfit, no less)

to these supersilver lids in the "Sock It 2 Me" video, which is chock full of eye makeup inspo,

and basically this whole look from "Get Ur Freak On."

If you ask me, she helped pave the way for today's iconic divas like Rihanna and Beyoncé to push beauty boundaries with bold lips and metallic eye makeup. Henry agrees. "Her makeup looks were before their time, and if you look at what's trendy in makeup today, like strong contouring and ombré lips, Missy was doing that 20 years ago," she says. "I would like to add glossy nude lips, fun false lashes, and blue lipstick to that list, too."

One person even followed up Henry's tweet and did some work for M.A.C. She suggested lipstick names and shades for the hypothetical Missy Elliott M.A.C. collection:

Fun fact: Missy Elliott was the face of M.A.C.'s Viva Glam campaign back in 2004, so she's no stranger to the brand. (M.A.C. executives, you're reading this, right?) I would like to go ahead and request blue and brown lipsticks, frosted glosses, spiky false lashes, and an eye shadow complete with all the foiled metallics and smoky shades any Missy Elliott-loving heart could ever want for the M.A.C. collection. In the meantime, we are still waiting for the Aaliyah collection to become a reality.
