International Rider Shares How He Almost Got Banned From The United States

Remy Metailler is back in southern Utah with a poignant message about trespassing on the all too inviting Moab slabs.

Last year Remy got popped for trespassing by posting a video of himself riding a massive spire just outside of Moab, Utah. While some other influencers who got hit for doing the same thing weren't as apologetic, Remy has come back to make a video about why he and everyone else shouldn't have ridden that line.

Watch it below.

Remy got a pretty stern talking to from the BLM land manager for the Moab area. According to Remy, the consequences discussed included fines, court appearances, and even being banned from the United States.

Obviously he was not banned from the country, but part of his punishment was to come back down and make this very video. The purpose was to inform his massive following of why this rock is illegal to ride and the answer may surprise some of you.

The soil between the rock and the road is why. It is a special variety native to the desert called cryptobiotic soil that helps provide structure to the land and native plants.

Remy did the right thing making this video and it is admirable to see him own up to his mistakes. Here is the BLM's website detailing the importance of that soil.
