Prep your streaming queue: Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr is officially coming back for a fourth season. Since its debut in 2019, the British hit has been a must-watch for design enthusiasts, offering some major interiors inspiration and a dose of healthy competition. Each season, a handful of contestants go head-to-head in a series of decorating challenges; however, only one will walk away with a career-changing contract with a commercial project.

According to a tweet by the show's network, BBC, host Alan Carr is officially on the hunt for contestants, giving those industry up-and-comers an opportunity to shine. But, since you'll have to wait a little longer to see how the new season shakes out, we're answering all of your questions now. (Psst...in the meantime, don't forget to catch up on the past three seasons.)

What Is Interior Design Masters about?

Have you ever looked at one of our home tours and said, “Wow, I'd love to do that for a living?” Then, Interior Design Masters is right up your alley. Each week, the show's emerging talent tests their creativity in a series of often-unconventional room makeovers. (Over the past three seasons, contestants have spruced up bland college dorm rooms, skateboard shops, and a chocolate-centric hotel. Yes, you read that correctly.) But since there can only be one winner who scores that big design contract, magazine editor Michelle Ogundehin and a handful of guest judges evaluate each project.

Who is host Alan Carr?

Carr might be the host and face of Interior Design Masters, but he wears plenty of other hats, too. Not only is the British personality a standup comedian, broadcaster, and writer, but he also hosted his own talk show called Alan Carr: Chatty Man from 2009 to 2016. (Carr still proudly uses the Chatty Man moniker on social media.) Oh, and did you know he's best friends with Adele? According to Adele's Instagram, the singer officiated Carr's wedding back in 2018.

The media personality joined Interior Design Masters for its second season, replacing Fearne Cotton as the show's host.

How do you apply for Interior Design Masters?

Think you have what it takes to be the next "it" designer? Eligible candidates can submit their application on BBC's website. In order to apply, you must be at least 18 years-old and a resident of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Interior Design Masters is looking for on-the-rise talent, so it will only consider applicants with less than two years of full-time design experience or the equivalent part-time track record.

If you tick off all of the boxes, you have until April 30, 2023 to submit your application. Just don't forget to upload photos so you can really show off your portfolio!

Can you watch Interior Design Masters in the United States?

Interior Design Masters might be a British show, but you can still watch it stateside. Right now, select seasons are available to stream on Netflix. In the United States, the platform considers Interior Design Masters a Netflix Series, so here's hoping they'll release the new season ASAP! It's also worth noting that you can add a BBC Select expansion to your Prime Video, Apple TV, and Roku accounts. (You know, just in case you can't enough of those English home makeover shows.)

When will the new season of Interior Design Masters air?

Since Interior Design Masters is just accepting applications for its fourth season, we have a feeling it will not debut until late 2023 at the very earliest. Don't worry, we'll keep you posted as we learn more about the must-watch show.
