Intense Factory Racing Teases New Lineup

As dire as things looked for professional mountain bike racing a couple of weeks ago, there has been an apparent vibe shift recently. Many riders have signed with teams, and brands that have been thought to be done sponsoring race teams have stuck around.

The Intense Factory Racing team, whose future was thought to be up in the air, teased their new program on January 9th, 2024. Watch the exciting teaser below.

Additionally, Intense recently unveiled the new M1 downhill bike, something that would not happen if the brand did not want to sponsor DH riders.

The teaser video, which featured soon-to-be-revealed riders, was captioned “The reports of my death were greatly exaggerated.” Perhaps the invocation of Mark Twain is meant to equate this rumor-laden offseason to the sensationalist era of news around the turn of the 20th century.

Though rumors have indeed flown around this offseason, Intense Factory Racing was clear that what was happening was that the management was moving on. Like a phoenix, a new team will rise from the ashes.

This turn of events is a pleasant announcement for the sport of Downhill. Though things looked bleak, it appears that more riders will retain teams and most brands will continue to represent at the Downhill World Cup.

We at Bikemag are excited to see what the Intense brand will do in 2024.
