These days, we practically base everything off the teachings of astrology, from who we should date to when we make big career changes. But our astrological makeup doesn't just determine the big stuff in our lives — it also holds the key to our hobbies, preferences, and the small things that bring us joy.
That's why InStyle teamed up with Astrology Zone founder Susan Miller, astrology expert, author, columnist, and entrepreneur, to curate beauty boxes for each of the elements — Earth, Air, Water, and Fire — which all directly correlate with the 12 zodiac signs.
The astrology expert carefully selected an assortment of products that fit the traits of each element. Inside the boxes, which we're calling the Cosmic Collection, you'll find products from popular and cult-favorite brands, like Heritage Store Rosewater Spray, Winky Lux Matcha Lip Balm, and Glow Recipe Lip Pop in Blueberry Bounce. "The task of deciding which products would delight each group of signs — classified by fire, air, earth, and water — required that I take account of all the proclivities and priorities of those signs," says Susan Miller. "The challenge of getting each of the four beauty boxes 'just right' for each group was fun for me because I adore trying new beauty products. However, I also felt the responsibility for delighting each reader that ordered a box."
The Fire box (which includes the Aires, Leo, and Sagittarius signs) contains products that allow their "spontaneous" coinciding signs to be "playful and experimental," says Miller. The Earth box (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn signs) caters to those seeking real, noticeable results from their products to reflect these signs's "practical and realistic" qualities. The Air box (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) fits these signs's need to be "up to date on all that is happening in the beauty world." And the Water box (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces signs) focuses on the scent and feel of the product to fit these signs's "mystical and sensual" traits.

"In choosing the products that would go into each box, I didn't rely on just one or two qualities of the elemental group, but all of them, so it took a lot of thinking," Miller tells us. "I used all the knowledge I had built up about each of the signs and their elements that I accumulated since I began writing about the signs in 1995 for Astrology Zone."
