Instant Pot's New Air Fryer Is Here and It's Huge

Big-batch air frying just got a lot easier.

If you don’t already own one, you’ve probably at least heard of the air fryer—the trendy new(ish) countertop staple that allows you to “fry” foods to crispy/crunchy perfection without excess oil.

While not there are a few notable differences, it’s similar to a convection oven in that both appliances work by circulating hot air around the food being cooked.

Instant Brands (the company behind the mega-popular Instant Pot) just added to the air fryer craze with its new Instant Vortex Plus, which was released last week.

The Instant Vortex Plus is billed as an air fryer, but that’s not all it can do. The new 7-in-1 appliance can also roast, broil, dehydrate, bake, reheat, and rotate a rotisserie chicken.

What really sets the Vortex Plus apart from the crowd, though, isn’t its many functions—it’s able to cook a lot more food than every other air fryer we’ve seen. While it is larger, it also makes better use of the space it has with two removable racks.

Our resident mom, Nicole, was able to fit 20 chicken wings into the new product. For reference, she was only able to fit 8 wings into her traditional air fryer.

If you’re so inclined, you can take out the racks and replace them with a rotating basket that will evenly cook your food without forcing you to turn it manually.

The Instant Vortex Plus is available exclusively at Walmart for $119—buy it here.
