Here’s how to get the new Instagram Superzoom tools, because your Insta Story needs sound effects
‘Tis the season not only for all things Christmas, but also for new Instagram features. If you’re wondering how to get Instagram’s new Superzoom tools, we’re here to help. Maybe you didn’t even realize you needed sound effects with your Instagram Superzoom posts. But trust us, you do. So if you want to add some extra festive flair to your Insta Stories and Snaps, here’s how to do it.
Instagram has been full of wonderful surprises lately, like being able to watch and post Instagram Stories from your computer, not just your phone. In addition, the app also recently announced that now you can keep your Instagram stories forever. In other words, you can archive your Insta Stories. Best. Feature. Ever. Well, until Instagram Superzoom, that is!
Luckily, it’s super easy to use the new Instagram Superzoom tools. You’ll see “Superzoom” under the record button — it’s next to “Boomerang.” (If you don’t see it on your phone yet, don’t worry — the feature is rolling out over the next few weeks. You’ll have it soon!) According to Instagram’s blog, just tap the music icon, and then choose from “Bounce,” “Beats,” or “TV Show.”

But wait, there’s more. There are also festive new face filters!
Aside from the new Instagram Superzoom features, the app is giving us new face filters too. You can draw a heart in snow-frosted glass, model a holiday makeup ~lewk~, or party with balloons bursting with confetti. Once again, using these filters is easy too. Just tap the face icon in the bottom right corner. We don’t know which one to try out first!
As if all of that were not enough, holiday stickers will be rolling out too.
And finally, there’s one last new Instagram perk.
There are tons of new Instagram Story color filters! After you capture your picture-perfect moment, swipe left or right to browse the new filters. (This one’s just for iPhone users.)
