This Instagram makes it perfectly clear why Priyanka Chopra was invited to the royal wedding

Sixteen hours after sharing photos of the glamorous Dior gown she wore to the royal wedding reception on Instagram, Priyanka Chopra posted pictures from Bangladesh. And it’s this quick turnaround from partying with some of the most privileged people on the planet to devoting her precious time to some of the most underprivileged that makes it pretty clear why the Quantico star was invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s exclusive evening party — and other A-list attendees were not.

In her most recent post, Chopra is seen wearing a floral headscarf and a white UNICEF T-shirt while surrounded by local young boys and girls from Cox’s Bazar, one of the biggest refugee camps in the world.

“This is an entire generation of children that have no future in sight. Through their smiles I could see the vacancy in their eyes,” she shared in the caption, referring to the nearly 700,000 Rohingya people from Myanmar who’ve been displaced due to the current ethnic cleansing going on in the country. “These children are at the forefront of this humanitarian crisis, and they desperately need our help. The world needs to care. We need to care. These kids are our future.”

Chopra said on social media that she traveled right from Markle’s wedding to Bangladesh for a field visit. Like Chopra, Markle, who’s back in London on Monday, is jumping right back into work after tying the knot. And it’s this shared passion for career and charitable endeavors that has most likely made the pair such close pals.
