Instagram of Dog Who Belonged to Idaho College Victim Has People So Saddened

Murphy is now being cared for by his dad, Jack.

People across the country are so heartbroken and shocked over the tragic and horrific passing of four students from the University of Idaho on November 13. The details of the case are just unfathomable, and everyone is collectively grieving the loss of four lives that were taken way too soon. As you might know, one of the victims, Kaylee Goncalves, had a dog named Murphy, who survived the attack.

Kaylee shared the pup with her ex-boyfriend, Jack, who is now caring for him full-time. To keep people updated on how this sweet dog is doing, he created an Instagram account featuring his photos. Here's the very first post on the account. As you'll see, the caption reads: "Missing my mom every day, but trying to live my best life. I got to admire her beauty in the sky this evening."

While it's clear that Murphy is in wonderful hands with someone who loves him, it's just so devastating to think about him never seeing his beautiful mom again. Needless to say, people are just so saddened by the whole scenario.

One commenter, @xoallyboyd said, "Jack, sending so much love your way. You have a beautiful piece of Kaylee still with you within Murphy. Thank you so much for sharing." Another person who found the account, @mommydbench added, "Murphy, I hope you and your Dad are keeping each other strong. I hope you both know that millions of people have been praying for you and want to see your lives be full of joy and love. I'm sure Kaylee is looking down on you both and surrounding you in light and comfort. Keep us posted with your adventures and know that you've got a lot of people who care about you both."

The newest photo posted to the account is a throwback from when Murphy was just 5 months old.
