Inspiring Stories: Annika Sörenstam

Laying low came naturally to Annika Sörenstam, the Swedish athlete who famously harbored a fear of the spotlight. But a career spent on the sidelines wasn't in the stars for the player, now retired and devoted to her family and her growing organization, the ANNIKA Foundation. By the time Sörenstam retired in 2008, she was virtually unbeatable, a golf Hall of Famer, and she made history as the only woman to break 60 in an event and the first woman in over 50 years to compete on the PGA Tour. In an ongoing partnership with Rolex, we explore Sörenstam's journey along with those of other exceptional women.
