Teresa Tarmey is a name in the beauty industry that everyone is talking about, from beauty editors to celebrities everyone is after Teresa's iconic glowing skin. Having recently transformed her Kensington home into a skin clinic the townhouse oozes everything you would expect to feel at home and as a result the a-list have her on speed dial for all their skin woes. Spread across five floors, Tarmey’s townhouse warmly invites clients into two treatment rooms, whilst the other floors are for her own personal use.

As professional as they get, Tarmey is tight-lipped about  her client list but it's thought that her list includes London’s finest stars such as Naomi Harris, Poppy Delevingne, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. Ahead of tonight’s Met Gala Awards in New York, where Tarmey will be treating an array of clients to her famous sculpting facial, we asked the expert on her secrets to flawless red-carpet skin and what tricks we can adopt at home.

“I always start off with a gentle lactic acid toner,” says Tarmey. “It works on every skin type and as well as gently exfoliating, it gives an instant glow without any downtime. I then treat my clients to a session of radio frequency which will tighten and sculpt the face- just what everyone wants on the red carpet,” says Tarmey.

Radio Frequency is an aesthetic technique that uses RF energy to heat tissue and stimulate subdermal collagen production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles loose skin, resulting in a firm, lifted complexion. Following that Tarmey treats her clients skin to her a combination, lymphatic-draining massage using hands and her one-of-a-kind cyro ball that launches later this month. “I always do a hands on, strong-lift massage, particularly concentrating around the jawline and cheekbone area to sculpt and finish by rolling my cryro ball over the face to de-puff,” says Tarmey. “I also advise my clients to avoid alcohol, get the best night’s sleep they can and I avoid extractions on the day so their skin is fresh and plump,” she tells me.
