Originally founded in Basel, Switzerland, in the 1970s, the elite weekend landed in the sunshine city in 2002, attracting 30,000 attendees and taking on a fresh persona. Art enthusiasts and newcomers alike could admire the works of struggling and iconic creatives from around the globe, surrounded by tropical beaches, diverse culture and a style-conscious crowd.

Today, Basel incorporates the entire city, beyond the convention center and galleries.
