Inside Heather and Tarek’s Wildly Fast Relationship, ’Cause We All Have Questions

I don’t know if you heard because she’s really subtle and lowkey about it, but Selling Sunset’s Heather Rae Young is dating HGTV star Tarek El Moussa. Like, again, this all might be news to you because they definitely don’t call the paparazzi on themselves (how *dare* Christine and Davina suggest otherwise), but they’re VERY SERIOUS. In fact, they’re engaged.

Anyway, if you, like me, feel that Heather didn’t spend nearly enough time talking about her relationship with Tarek on Selling Sunset, here’s a handy timeline of how these reality stars met and fell in love.

July 4, 2019

Heather and Tarek meet on a yacht, as you do. She went ahead and explained their love story on—you guessed it—Selling Sunset, musing, “His boat was parked next to the boat I was on down in Newport. And my girlfriend happened to be on his boat. I jumped on his boat and he, like, turned around and he was like, ‘Hi, I’m Tarek.’ Then we were just, like, texting and kept in touch.”

One Week Later

They freakin’ start living together. We know this because Tarek wrote about it in his one-year anniversary Instagram, explaining, “Less then a week after our first date, we moved in together and never looked back!”

In the interview, Tarek reflects, “We’ve been spending a lot of time together…and we just have so much fun. After all the hardships that I’ve experienced, and there’s so many ups and downs in life, sometimes having fun is, like, the best medicine.”
