Inside French Cinema's Wild New York Night

On Thursday, February 28, the Film Society of Lincoln Center and UniFrance celebrated the opening night of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema, their annual ode to the best of Gallic film. This year’s festivities kicked off with the New York premiere of director Pierre Salvadori’s César Award-nominated The Trouble With You. After the screening at the Film Society’s Walter Reade Theater, guests including Agathe Bonitzer, Pio Marmaï, Russell Banks, Sophie Fillières, Serge Toubiana, and Jeremiah Zagar made their way to the French Embassy’s Payne Whitney Mansion on Fifth Avenue to continue the celebration.
