In the summer of 2009, Faris's rep confirmed to People that the couple tied the knot "in a small ceremony in Bali on July 9."

Unfortunately, things didn't work out for the couple, who announced their split on Pratt's Facebook account and Faris's Instagram profile. The Guardians of the Galaxy star wrote:
"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.
Faris shared a screenshot of an iMessage to her Instagram. The joint statement reads as follows:

October 2017: Anna Faris has a new man.
Faris moved on first and started dating Michael Barrett, a cinematographer with credits on Ted, About Last Night, Zookeeper, and Overboard.
December 2017: They officially file for divorce.
TMZ got a hold of their divorce paperwork and the cause was “irreconcilable differences.”
June 18, 2018: Pratt and Schwarzenegger are spotted on a date.
TMZ reported that Pratt and Schwarzenegger were spotted enjoying a picnic in Santa Barbara, California. People added that "they were seen smiling and laughing throughout the date."
June 22, 2018: Reports say Schwarzenegger's mom helped play Cupid.
Schwarzenegger's famous mother, award-winning journalist Maria Shriver, reportedly played matchmaker. "Maria helped set them up," People's insider revealed.
June 28, 2018: They've been dating for a couple of months
E! News reported that Schwarzenegger and Pratt have been an item for months. "It's still very new between Chris and Katherine but the picnic was not their first date," the outlet's source revealed. "They have been on multiple low-key dates and have been talking consistently for the last two months or so. They both really like each other. Chris is smitten by Katherine and is super happy about how it's going so far."
July 30, 2018: Schwarzenegger attends church with Pratt's son.
After the service, Schwarzenegger, Pratt, and his son Jack grabbed frozen yogurt. According to photographs published by the Daily Mail, Schwarzenegger was seen kissing and wrapping her arms around Pratt.

After attending church together in Los Angeles, the pair had dinner with Schwarzenegger's side of the family, according to Us Weekly. Katherine's younger brother, Patrick, reportedly uploaded some intimate footage from the dinner to his Instagram Story.
September 10, 2018: Schwarzenegger hangs out with Pratt's family.
Schwarzenegger spent time with Pratt's family, including his brother Cully Pratt, who shared a family portrait on Instagram. The duo also had a family dinner at Round Pond Estate in Rutherford, California.

November 2, 2018: Pratt and Faris divorce.
Faris and Pratt are now legally divorced, more than a year after the couple announced their split. E! News revealed that the couple will share custody of their son. Legal documents obtained by the outlet showed that they must live within a five-mile radius of one another until their son finishes the sixth grade.
December 10, 2018: Pratt and Schwarzenegger go Instagram official.
For Schwarzenegger's 29th birthday, Pratt posted a collage of photographs featuring his girlfriend to his Instagram grid.

December 31, 2018: They vacation in Mexico for New Year's Eve.
People reported the two went on a romantic trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
January 13, 2019: Pratt proposes.
In January, Pratt announced on Instagram that Schwarzenegger accepted his proposal. In the snapshot, the pair share a sweet embrace, and Katherine's stunning rock shines brightly on her left hand.
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! 💍🙏♥️," Pratt captioned the Insta.
Schwarzenegger shared the same photograph, with an equally sweet caption. "My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you ♥️💍," she wrote.

January 15, 2019: Wedding planning begins.
A source close to the couple revealed to E! News that Pratt and Schwarzenegger "are looking at summer wedding dates. The two of them are already starting to plan." Their top wedding locations included California (her father, Arnold, is the former governor) and Martha's Vineyard.
"They are thinking about Martha's Vineyard, which is a special place for Katherine and where she spent a lot of time growing up," the insider revealed. "Chris wants her to have her perfect day and whatever she wants. It will be a big wedding and very traditional." The source added that Shriver will help plan the wedding ceremony.
January 17, 2019: They move in together.
