Innisfree Is Launching a Disney Collection — But There's a Catch

No matter how sophisticated our skin-care regimens get, we'll never be too old for beauty products with a touch of Disney magic — and that's especially true when characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto find their way onto the packaging of some of our well-established favorite formulas. So when we heard beloved Korean beauty brand Innisfree was launching Disney editions of some of its best sellers, we could barely contain our childlike glee.

In January, Innisfree is dropping the Hello 2020 Disney collection, featuring illustrations of the classic Disney gang in the late-20th-century style. You'll find Minnie Mouse on the Jeju Orchid collection, Mickey Mouse on an assortment of hand products (ideally for applying under big, white gloves, of course), Pluto on the Green Tea Mist, Goofy on the Soybean Energy line, and Daisy Duck on the Bija Cica collection.

Not familiar with the Soybean Energy or Bija Cica lines? That's because they're known by different names in the U.S. — and that's also where the bad news comes in: The Hello 2020 Disney collection appears to be exclusive to just a few parts of Asia. It was Innisfree's Philippines Instagram account that announced the collection on Saturday, December 28, and there are reports that it will be available in Japan. However, there's no indication that we'll get the products in the U.S. — at least not yet.

The brand has bestowed an Innisfree x Disney collection upon American shoppers in the past, with its adorable Toy Story collection in January 2019. So we can only hope that this January will bring us the Hello 2020 collection, too.
