These Ingenious Fitted Sheets Never Ride Up or Slip Off the Corners of Your Bed
If the idea of never wrestling with a fitted sheet again sounds amazing to you, then the new Beddingo is for you. Invented by an engineer for his mom (Aww!), the system reimagines the whole idea of fitted sheets and supposedly ensures that making your bed will take half the time it does now.
One key is the Base StaySecure strap, which is essentially a stretchy Velcro sling that you wrap around the border of your mattress. Once it’s on, you never need to move it again. And because it’s always covered up by a sheet, you don’t need to wash it either (though you could give it a quick machine sudsing about once a year, if you like).
The other key to the Beddingo system is the fitted sheet, which has matching Velcro strips on the inside so that you never, ever have to lift up a corner of your mattress to tuck it under! Plus, the sheet is specially designed with geometrically engineered arched edges, so that it never rides up on the sides, as so often happens.
Once the fitted sheet is in place, it stays secure and you don’t have to worry about it popping off of the corners because of the Velcro-reinforced corners. (Just watch the people having fun jumping on the mattress to demonstrate this point.)
As for the sheets themselves, they’re made of 100 percent organic sateen cotton that’s been “OEKO-TEX® certified for chemical safety,” which means you won’t find any off-gassing or other nasty chemicals in it. A complete sheet set with pillowcases and duvets will also become available.
