Drew Michael Scott began his YouTube channel, Lone Fox, a few years back while working as an in-home stylist for West Elm. Viewers were hooked. The 27-year-old fashion school graduate merged his interest in the home space and eye for design into a distinctive aesthetic and voice, growing his audience to a million subscribers. These days, followers tune in for Scott's renovation, styling, and DIY videos—and are closely following his renovation of a 1920s Spanish Revival home in Los Angeles.
Seeing a gap in the online space for small-space and renter-friendly ideas that felt luxe, Scott hit his niche. “You really are an awesome professor for educating this audience regarding dovetail joints,” reads a recent comment on Scott's “25 Vintage & Antique Shopping Hacks” video. An upcycling expert, he is excited to see more vintage and antique pieces populate his feed. “I love that people are embracing sustainability and incorporating pre-loved pieces into their home,” he says. “It’s great to give a second life to a piece that might have ended up in a landfill.”
Another recent success? Scott's moody movie room makeover, which the creator revealed on his Instagram this March—a mix of worldly, unexpected, and juxtaposed pieces. The pull-out screen is genius.

DMS: Highlight is finishing the kitchen! Lowlight has definitely been moving into an older home and finding more issues than I expected.
