Walking into Garza Blanca Cancun for the first time, you'll be met with a hot towel and a smile. Though you may walk right past it, forgoing the small indulgence to instead take in the sight of seemingly endless pools stretching out from the other side of the resort lobby down to the white sand beaches of Playa Mujeres.

Opened in March 2022, the lavish all-inclusive resort is one of a trio of Garza Blanca properties, with sister resorts in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas (named one of Travel + Leisure’s Top 25 Resort Hotels in Mexico), and with a fourth location coming soon to Riviera Maya.

The resort is a 30-minute drive from Cancun International Airport and 25 minutes from the downtown area. Guests can take the 30-minute ferry to Isla Mujeres for a day trip spent snorkeling, scuba diving, or exploring Mayan ruins — although you could easily spend your entire trip taking advantage of the property’s plentiful offerings and on-site spa.

Guests can choose from the resort's 452 suites, which include junior suites with garden views, ocean views, or even swim-up pool access, featuring en-suite bathrooms complete with deep soaking tubs and separate rain showers.

Oversized terraces attached to each room come with snooze-ready hammocks overlooking the pools and ocean, alongside tables where you can enjoy your room service al fresco.

One- and two-bedroom suites can sleep between four and six guests comfortably. But if you're looking for even larger (or simply more luxe) accommodations for longer stays or wedding parties, there are three- and four-bedroom penthouse lofts. These options house 8-12 guests and include everything from private jacuzzis to secluded rooftop terraces suited to host an evening mixology class or a morning yoga session.

Spacious accommodations and in-room amenities aside, the gourmet dining options really set this resort apart.

The property offers four restaurants for a fine dining experience, including Blanca Blue, a contemporary Mexican restaurant with everything from pre-Hispanic cuisine to elevated comfort food (think caviar tamales and fresh sea bass chilatole, plus fresh beet margaritas and mezcalitas).

On the property, guests can also dig into Hiroshi, a contemporary Asian restaurant that will fulfill their every craving for fresh sushi and sashimi, or head to Bocados Steak House, which specializes in dry-aged steaks. There's even a gourmet food hall that includes dressed-up versions of street food classics. Those looking for food to enjoy poolside can't miss the raw bar food truck's yummy ceviche, grilled shrimp Caesar salads, and loaded nachos.
