This All-Inclusive In Cabo Is A Paradise For Food Lovers

I made my first trip to Mexico with the hopes of having the freshest guacamole I’ve ever eaten—but I left just wanting more mole rabbit ribs. My experience with all-inclusive resorts was non-existent before this little getaway and now I’m worried that nothing will ever quite live up to it. You'd probably feel a similar way after spending a long weekend filled with meals that take as much care in presentation as they do in preparation. Seriously though, they literally melted a sheet of chocolate over the aforementioned rib right at the table to give the mole sauce that final touch. Couple it with a mezcal cocktail and the sound of waves crashing and that pretty much sums up life at Grand Velas Los Cabos.

The rib is just one menu option at Frida, one of seven dining options available to guests. In my regular life, I had never been bougie enough to do the tasting menu at any restaurants in New York City. Make a reservation at Cocina De Autor and you’ll feel like a VIP making your way through an eight to 10 course dining experience where the food is almost too pretty to eat. I said almost. The small bites of king crab, black angus filet, and tiger prawn (to name a few) will leave you wondering how the chef could possibly top the course you just consumed.

It’s also worth noting that just about anywhere you plop yourself down for a bite at this gorgeous resort offers spectacular views of the Pacific. Eating freshly made ceviche while listening to nothing but the ocean next to you should added to your travel bucket list immediately and that’s what you’ll get if you choose to have your lunch at Cabrilla during your stay. If steak is more your thing, you can’t miss the tomahawk steak at Velas 10. The beef (along with most other entrée offerings) are served sizzling on a plate just to drill it home how freshly prepared everything is.

Have you ever played that game where everyone says what their last meal would be if they were on death row? After a long weekend at Grand Velas Los Cabos, it would definitely have to be a toss-up between any one of their restaurants.
