Ina Garten is our collective North Star of 2020, a true giant cosmo-drinking quarantine queen. Her latest relatable share on Instagram is about how she’s tired of unloading the dishwasher. Of course, critics came at her in the comments–specifically for putting knives and spatulas in the dishwasher. Unsurprisingly, she had the best response to it that people who prefer lazy clean-ups will really understand.

In her post, Ina shared a photo of the bottom level of her dishwasher. She captioned it: “If you’re not sick of unloading the dishwasher, could you please come unload mine??” It has a few plates, bowls, silverware, spatulas, and knives in it. Some commenters pointed out that the knives and spatulas shouldn’t be in there because they’ll get ruined. To that, Ina responded, "EVERYTHING goes in the dishwasher!! My assistant used to put the bird cage in the dishwasher (she took the bird out first)."

Ina clarified in another comment that everything goes in the dishwasher except for cast iron pans. TBH, I’m with her. I was also unaware that putting knives and spatulas in the dishwasher was up for debate.

Another critic wrote that Ina’s dishwasher is too empty to run. In response to that, Ina wrote, “I've been known to run the dishwasher, then put more dishes in with the clean ones and run it again.”

Well, there you have it. If Ina puts her knives and spatulas in her dishwasher, so can you. I wouldn't recommend her chaotic clean and dirty dish combo, though, but you do you!
