Ina Garten Doesn't Watch Her Own Show...Take a Minute to Process
Fact: There’s nothing better to unwind after a long day than drinking a glass of wine (or three) and listening to the ambient sounds of an ahi-tuna steak being pan-seared in a Food Network kitchen. But when it comes to relaxing for kitchen goddess Ina Garten, she has bigger fish to fry than watching someone else do it on TV.
The Barefoot Contessa incited shock and awe when she revealed she never watches her own show, or any cooking shows for that matter. Perplexing as this tidbit of inaformation may be, her reasoning is as simple as her apple crostata: “I never watch cooking shows, certainly not mine,” she said.
Her distaste for cooking shows may be as strong as her aversion to cilantro, but she is grateful for her loyal fans. She continued, “I’m glad other people like it, that's all I can say.”
Watching one’s own TV show? Ain’t nobody got time for that.
