Impressive Video Gives a Rare Glimpse of the Only All-White Panda in the World

Every pet, wild animal, and zoo animal is special in their own ways, but it's impossible to deny that this panda stands out in a crowd. That's because this unique bear sports an all-white coat, instead of the distinctive black and white coat pandas usually have.

Yes, you read that correctly. A video from China's Wolong National Nature Reserve is gaining rounds online after giving viewers a rare glimpse at the albino giant panda. Take a look at the gorgeous animal in this clip from ABC 7 News.

What a beautiful animal! It's hard to see the animal's red eyes--another difference from the status quo--but there is definitely no black on this monochromatic bear. No wonder videos of this panda are going viral all over the Internet!

The Wolong National Nature Reserve--where this animal lives--is one of the world's largest panda reserves. Zoo officials first spotted the animal, who's estimated to be 5 or 6 years old, in April 2019. As ABC News Australia reports, this is the only other time any footage of the animal has been released to the public.

The panda appears to be in good health and can even be seen playing with a mother and cub in the reserve. In fact, reserve officials guess that these bears might be his family! The albino panda seems to be maturing normally for his age, and researchers hope to get a closer look in the coming months. Since this was only the second time the animal was seen since 2019, though, we'll have to see how that plan goes!
