No matter how many shoe styles I accumulate over the years: boots, flats, loafers, clogs (the list goes on), you’ll never convince me that a sleek sneaker that looks just as good with a dress as it does with leggings hasn’t earned the coveted title of ‘elite footwear.’

Among my growing sneaker collection, I have several pairs in my rotation that I wear repeatedly, one of them being the Adidas Gazelles, specifically in the bold platform style. At this point, it’s safe to say I’m a sneaker snob.

While my adoration for the sleek shoe from Adidas is practically unwavering at this point, seeing celebrities also gravitate toward the style reaffirms my affinity for it. Jennifer Lawrence is among the list of celebrities who’ve worn the striped sneaker, in addition to Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles, who made them an outfit staple during his ‘Love on Tour’ shows.

Lawrence’s recent NYC ensemble, in more ways than one, emulates my own personal everyday style. This time of year, my uniform consists of a cozy sweater, trench coat, jeans, a shoulder bag, and, at the focal point, a comfortable pair of sneakers — Adidas Gazelles. In addition to sportier looks, they’re also perfect with dresses and skirts.

While I don’t own Lawrence’s classic Gazelle sneaker, the bold version in my rotation is an identical silhouette but with the added height of the platform. The thicker sole is still comfortable to walk on for long periods of time, and the simple two-toned colorways (I have the black with white stripes) go with practically everything I own. As a self-proclaimed neutral girl — my wardrobe consists mostly of black, brown, tan, and gray — I now have J. Law’s tan pair at the top of my wish list.

With an average 4.8-star rating and over 19,000 positive reviews, those numbers speak volumes about the shoe’s quality and comfort. One shopper purchased them before a trip and said not only did they get them “tons of compliments,” but they walked in them “for days and never felt any discomfort.” Another praised the shoe for being their favorite “comfortable everyday sneaker.”

One reviewer mentioned that colors “sell out” quickly, so be sure to snag a pair in your favorite colorway while they’re in stock. Keep scrolling for more shopper-loved sneaker styles available at Adidas.
