Just days after #WrongfulConvictionDay, Amanda Knox celebrated her own freedom from prison, seven years later.

The 31-year-old took to Twitter on Thursday to mark the seven-year anniversary from the day that she was released from an Italian prison. In 2011, an Italian court reversed Knox’s murder conviction in the case of her roommate’s death.

As a college student studying in Perugia, Italy, Knox lived with British roommate Meredith Kercher, who was found dead in the apartment that they shared in 2007. In 2009, Knox was convicted of murder and sentenced to 26 years in prison. Later, in 2011, an Italian court reversed the murder conviction on appeal.

Knox wrote in her tweet that she is “so grateful” for the kindness of those who remembered and celebrated the anniversary. Many are telling her that she deserves the support.

On Tuesday, Knox also celebrated Wrongful Conviction Day by posting photos of people who had spent time behind bars for crimes that they did not commit — including a shoutout to her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito who was imprisoned and acquitted with her for the same crime in Italy.

Knox also posted a photo on Instagram of a doormat she received from the Arizona Justice Project, which reads, “Come Back With a Warrant.”
