If you haven't already begun breaking out your winter wardrobe or adding holiday movies to your Netflix watch list, consider this your official sign to at least start thinking about your holiday shopping list. Whether you have kids of your own, younger cousins, friends with children, or are a proud aunt/uncle, kids can simultaneously be the easiest and most difficult to buy gifts for.

It can be tempting to take the easy route, picking up the first toy you see when you search "gifts for children" on Amazon, or grabbing a gift card for their parents to pick something out for them. Let's be real, it can be hard to keep track of every child's hobbies, interests, likes, and dislikes when those things are constantly changing.

That being said, one thing that will never go out of style is The Little Feminist Book Set ($14, Amazon), which is precisely why I gifted my own nephew one. Whether they're old enough to read it for themselves or will have it read to them at bed time, the book was made for one to three year-olds, and it's never too early to start educating future generations about history's most iconic females.

The board book set contains four books, one each featuring female leaders, artists, pioneers, and activists. Each page has a brightly-colored illustration of a person like Harriet Tubman, Marie Curie, Rosa Parks, or Gloria Steinem paired with short, easily digestible captions like "Marie Curie experimented and proved that girls are brilliant!" At the affordable price of $14, the set of four board books are durable enough to be thrown around, too (trust me—my nephew really put this to the test over the past year).

The gift isn't just unique—it's thoughtful, fun, and educational. It's never too young to breed a new generation of little feminists, amiright? The only thing wrong with this book is that it didn't come sooner. Needless to say, all the little kids on my list are getting this book gifted to them for the holidays this year.
