I'm a Fashion Editor & Here's What I Bought From Anthropologie's Amazing Cyber Monday Sale

Anthropologie has long been one of my favorite places to pick up clothes, bags and accessories with a vintage vibe—but without all the hard work that goes into finding a second-hand gem. (I truly do not have the patience for combing through thrift stores, despite the treasures one might find there). So every year I prepare myself for a shopping splurge during the Anthropolgie's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. This year, Anthro is treating us to a whopping 50 percent off anything already on sale and 30 percent off all full-price items, no exceptions. Here are six of the best things I picked up this Cyber Monday and how I plan to style them now and in the months to come.

1. Maeve Goldie Embroidered Blouse

My favorite go-to outfit for days when I just don't know what to wear is an attention-grabbing blouse tucked into high-waist jeans and I particularly love any top I can wear in cold or warm weather. The sunny yellow hue is sure to brighten my mood on even the gloomiest winter days, while the cotton fabric will keep me cool come summer. The high neck will also look great peeking out from under a crew-neck knit if I want to play with layers. Oh, and best of all, it's machine-washable.

Buy it ($160; $45)

Available in size 00 to 16

2. Anthropologie Mollie Velvet Clutch

You can't go wrong with a simple velvet clutch, but a croc-embossed version is much more fun. This lovely dark navy bag will really come in handy for the five winter weddings I have to attend over the next few months, but I also plan to carry it during the regular work week to jazz up my usual jeans-and-sweater winter outfit combo.

Buy it ($58; $20)

3. Serefina Linnet Layered Necklace

Despite the fact that I'm a fashion editor, I still get overwhelmed and confused when trying to layer necklaces. So any set that can effortlessly do the work for me (without all those inevitable tangles) is a score in my book. That hint of icy blue is what made this particular necklace stand out from basic gold and silver, but because the color is so subtle it won't clash with the other colorful items in my wardrobe.

Buy it ($58; $20)

4. AMO Sailor Ultra High-Rise Cropped Flare Jeans

Can a gal ever really own too many pairs of jeans? Probably, but that didn't stop me from adding these cropped flares to my haul. The fun pocket detail and intricate seaming at the waistline help create the illusion of an itty-bitty middle and a perky backside, two things I certainly wouldn't say no to.

Buy it ($285; $75)

Available in sizes 24 to 32

5. Anthropologie Floral Padded Velvet Headband

The Blair Waldorf-approved hair accessory trend isn't going away any time soon, so I've slowly been stockpiling cute headbands that will go with the bright dresses and printed tops in my wardrobe. It was pretty difficult to choose just one from Anthropologie's stellar lineup (to be honest I also added this faux-leather style to my cart) but I really loved the deep turquoise of this velvet and think it will look particularly pretty with any gem-colored or pastel knits.

Buy it ($18; $13)

5. Anthropologie Jocasta Tiered Maxi Dress

Remember those five weddings I have coming up? This is what I'll be wearing to pretty much all of them. The swing silhouette will look fabulous on the dance floor and does wonders for hiding any bloat brought on by too much Champagne (sorry, not sorry). Come summer, you can find me wearing this beauty with lace-up sandals and lots of delicate gold jewelry.

Buy it ($230; $161)

Available in sizes XXS to 3X
