How I'll be Celebrating Pride in Quarantine

Pride has always been an incredibly special time for me as a proud member of the gay community. In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, pride festivities across the globe have been cancelled or postponed indefinitely. Though the pride parade is no longer viable, I'm choosing to honor what pride is really about -- a celebration of my own identity alongside those who share in this community with me. Although I may not be able to celebrate in the streets with community members and allies, there are still plenty of ways to carry on the spirit of the season. Pride may be "cancelled" in the minds of many, but this celebration of love, inclusivity, and equality can never go unnoticed and unrecognized.
