Restaurants have been finding ways to adjust to the ongoing pandemic while serving customers in the safest way possible. Many places are turning to disposable menus to limit person to person contact, and for IHOP this change means their menu is getting a lot shorter than usual, too

Other chains have also put a cap on some of their offerings, like McDonald's limiting all-day breakfast to keep things running as efficiently as possible. IHOP is shortening its menu from the typical 12 pages to just two, keeping only the most classic meals on the list.

According to Fox News, the reason for getting rid of some of the more obscure things on the IHOP menu is to help ensure that restaurants can easily get the ingredients they need for more basic items from a stable food supply chain. The two-page menus will also be single use; shortening them allows for less waste altogether.

A spokesperson for IHOP assured that the chain's most beloved menu items will still be offered. Things like ultimate steakburgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, and pancakes will of course still be available.

This change might seem like an adjustment, but I say it's just a way to get more creative. You can see what options are available on the more abbreviated menu and mix and match them to get the meal you really want. In these times it's all about creativity, y'all, so take these new IHOP menus as a chance to try something new.
