IHOP Might Be Changing Its Iconic Name

IHOP isn't a BTW, LOL, or LMK situation. Regardless of your age, you know what IHOP stands for. Or at the very least, what the 'P' refers to. But, because restaurant chains love to toy with our emotions, the pancakes in IHOP's name might be changing. This Monday, the breakfast joint known for crazy stacks like Cinnamon Roll Pancakes tweeted a very mysterious announcement of sorts:

Fans were quick to throw out guesses, with biscuits, bacon, breakfast, and burritos in the mix. IHOP was expertly evasive, leaning into the 'b' theme in their responses, They also calmed any fears by confirming pancakes will still be on the menu.

The restaurant continued to stoke the fire with a poll teasing potential name changes, including biscuits, bacon, butternut squash, and barnacles. As of publication, bacon was leading the pack.

It's a safe bet those last two can be ruled out, so what else could it be? Brunch? Bagels? Bananas? The world may never know. Until June 11, that is, when IHOP makes their announcement. We'll be waiting, breakfast sandwich in hand.
