iHeartRadio Music Awards 2018: Halsey Wears a Belt as a Skirt

Halsey, is never one to pass up an opportunity to show off her unique style and the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards was no different.

The singer hit the red carpet with boyfriend G-Eazy, wearing a beige and black tiger-striped matching two-piece set. And while the top was a cropped halter style that could be paired with pretty much anything — mix-n-match forever! — it was her skirt that has us talking. Halsey rocked a short skirt which had a huge black, sparkling buckle in the middle of the garment. The placement almost made it seem as though the entire skirt was actually just one wrapped belt. Optical illusion or genius styling? You decide.

This isn't the first time Halsey has worn a belt as an article of clothing that wasn't meant to hold up a pair of pants. In fact, it was this exact same carpet in 2017 that she wore a belt as a top and somehow made it work. She's also worn everything from a literal bra and trench coat to actual gym clothes on others. It's safe to say that if Halsey is feeling a look, she's going to wear it and pull it off marvelously, even if it's just a belt.
