iHeartRadio Music Awards 2018: Hailey Baldwin Wears Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School T-shirt

Hailey Baldwin dominated the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet Sunday night in a sleek bob and incredible metallic jumpsuit, but it’s her first look as cohost of the show that really made a statement. The 21-year-old model continued the metallic trend with silver beaded pants and a black belt with large clasps as the show opened, but she finished the look with a black T-shirt that simply read “Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School” in a silent show of support for the Parkland, FL, high school.

The model has previously been a vocal supporter of the students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas on her social media, sharing the website for March For Our Lives, a march organized by students in support of gun control. Hailey has also reposted interviews with parents of school shooting victims and expressed how devastated she was after the deadly event. “Sending all my love and prayers to the families affected in Florida. More lives lost due to gun violence...I don’t understand how this is still happening after all the horrifying tragedies we’ve witnessed! My heart is in pieces today,” she wrote on February 14, the day of the shooting.

Celebrities have been supporting Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in various ways. Some, like Oprah Winfrey, Amal and George Clooney, and fashion brand Gucci have pledged hundreds of thousands of dollars. Demi Lovato invited students from Marjory Stoneman to join her onstage at the first concert of the “Tell Me You Love Me” world tour, while Malala Yousafzai sent the students an inspiring message of hope.
