Idris Elba and Wife Embody Springtime in Bright Colorful Outfits for 'Luther' Premiere

Idris Elba and wife Sabrina Dhowre are ushering in spring in the best way possible—by dressing the part.
The British actor hit the red carpet with his lady on March 8 for the Luther: The Fallen Sun U.S. premiere at the Paris Theatre in NYC, and it's safe to say that they were glowing, opting for brightly-colored ensembles.
Dhowre chose a sleeveless silk neon yellow Stella McCartney floor-length dress with a high slit and embellishments over one shoulder, worn with glitzy sandals of the same hue.
Meanwhile, the star of the Netflix series matched her theme in a colorblock 'fit: a lime green Gucci blazer worn over a classic white shirt, paired with red-orange trousers and dark green loafers.
The couple was photographed together smiling at the event, while some additional shots of Elba taking selfies with fans were also captured outside of the venue.

A film spinoff of the British psychological crime TV series Luther—which ran from 2010-2019—The Fallen Sun offers up a new saga for Elba's titular character.
"A serial killer terrorizes London while disgraced detective John Luther sits behind bars," Netflix's description teases. "Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary."
Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis, and Dermot Crowley are also featured in the movie.
Luther: The Fallen Sun hits the streaming platform on March 10.
