Idris Elba Reveals Thoughts on Playing James Bond, Saying It Is "Not a Goal for My Career"

However, in a new interview on Uninterrupted's The Shop, Elba spoke about his ultimate choice to remove himself from the running for the role of Bond. In the latest episode of the series, he spoke about how playing the role of Bond was "not a goal for my career." He added, "I don't think that, you know, playing Bond will satisfy some of my personal goals. It will definitely satisfy the will of a nation."
