Many fans have wondered who would fill his shoes as the next British agent, with many hoping Idris Elba would take on the role.

However, in a new interview on Uninterrupted's The Shop, Elba spoke about his ultimate choice to remove himself from the running for the role of Bond. In the latest episode of the series, he spoke about how playing the role of Bond was "not a goal for my career." He added, "I don't think that, you know, playing Bond will satisfy some of my personal goals. It will definitely satisfy the will of a nation." He expanded on his thoughts and continued to explain why he was not pressed to fight for the role,
