Idris Elba Is the New Face of Calvin Klein at 51

CK doing everything to keep us fed this year.

Happy Tuesday to us, indeed. Calvin Klein just gifted us with its Spring 2024 Menswear campaign starring 51-year-old actor and former Sexiest Man Alive (although he forever holds the title in our hearts) Idris Elba. And you must see the smoldering black-and-white photos.

Although Elba didn't strip down to his boxer briefs Jeremy Allen White-style for the shoot, the star looked handsome in black-and-white photos lensed by famed photographer Mert Alas uniformed in head-to-toe CK clothing, naturally (including the Classic Trench Coat, Seersucker Full Zip Shirt Jacket, and Sateen Bomber Jacket).

In one shot, Elba posed with his hands behind his back while wearing a black button-up shirt layered over a white tee and styled with matching trousers. Another image captured the Luther star sitting on a wooden chair in the middle of a cobblestone street while decked out in a suit jacket, matching pants, and matching loafers.

Idris shows off his modeling chops in the other pictures that see him cheekily reaching for the camera in a black long-sleeve half tucked into jeans and covering his eye in another. One image even captured Idris peering into a car window with his bomber jacket-clad arm resting on the outside of the door.

The thirst-worthy shoot marks Elba's first campaign with the storied brand, which is known for its sexy, internet-breaking photos (see: Michael B. Jordan, Kendall Jenner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and the viral aforementioned JAW video). According to a press release, this new collection features "new slim suiting" that "introduces an elegant, polished silhouette in tailored wool, sateen, and cotton fabrications."

"The Spring 2024 menswear collection’s lightweight outerwear, modern tailoring and premium men’s apparel channel Calvin Klein’s signature bold, effortless minimalism," the statement continues. "The Spring 2024 seasonal campaign continues to explore the world of Calvin Klein, highlighting dynamic talent in standalone vignettes that spotlight their individuality, unlock their confidence and reveal the full Calvin Klein lifestyle."
